The Project
It is an intergenerational storytelling campaign that examines the silences women and girls inherit across different parts of life, and how those silences shape their choices, safety, health, relationships, care responsibilities, and sense of self.
The campaign begins with lived experience and connects personal stories to wider social norms, institutional gaps, public systems, and data. Each episode asks what women were expected to navigate without enough knowledge, language, support, or protection. The goal is to make these silences visible, show what they cost, and build a foundation for future public engagement and policy influence.
Across all episodes, We Were Not Taught asks a shared question: what knowledge was withheld from women, what did that silence cost, and what needs to change so the next generation is not left to learn through crisis?
The lived-experience episodes surface the realities women carry. The data and public-facing content connect those realities to systems. The expert layer helps audiences understand what should be known earlier and where institutions must take responsibility.
